Mendocino Woodlands (MWCA) End of the Year Appeal

Scandia Camp is a magical experience in part because of the Mendocino Woodlands. For almost 70 years, the Mendocino Woodlands Camp Association (MWCA) has taken pride in being caretakers of the Woodlands, making sure it is ready for the tens of thousands of campers that visit each year, including the many school kids that attend it’s Spring and Fall outdoor education programs.

The MWCA has a year-end fundraising campaign with a goal of $60,000 (accompanied by a matching pledge of $15,000). Contributions to this 501(c)(3) nonprofit, public benefit corporation will help with a number of projects: hiring additional maintenance staff, purchasing new equipment such as fire hoses, mattresses, new water heaters for the Camp 2 kitchen, new canvasses for Camp 3 tent cabins and bear-proofing the garbage cans.
