Scandia Camp Mendocino
Sandi Kesler
Sandi, a skilled straw artisan from Northern California, joined the world of straw in 1996. She has participated in Museums Traditional Arts Programs at the request of the American Academy of Science and the American Museum of Straw Art. She has taught at straw guild conventions for both the National Association of Wheat Weavers and the California Straws Arts Guild. She has shared her award winning craftsmanship at the California State Fair, Mendocino Folklore Camp, and multiple county and cultural fairs. She delights in seeing her students take the techniques she teaches them and create their own exciting works.

Sandi will be teaching a Swedish Julbok or Christmas Goat. Most people are familiar with the more common version which can be quite tall and potentially quite elaborate. This one one is a small simple version that could be hung on a Christmas tree or if small enough could be worn as a pin.
