His education is as a nurse and a teacher, but his obsession has always been to bring culture and traditional knowledge from older times on to younger generations and other interested people. “I consider myself as a traditional storyteller, folk singer, and folk dancer.”
I learned my Valdresspringar from different teachers such as Harald Røyne, Ingar Ranheim and Knut and Berit Steinsrud, and I have been participating in competitions in both singing and dancing in the Valdres tradition for more than 20 years.
