[Runhild Heggem]
I joined several folk-dance groups in Oslo. I participated in various courses to become a folk-dance teacher. I was an instructor for folk-dance for children, for almost 30 years. In 1982 I joined Valdreslaget in Oslo. They arranged a course in Valdresspringar, and I thought that since my mother came from Valdres, I should learn the dance from that area. I have been in the board for the folkdance group in Valdreslaget from that time, and head of Valdreslaget from 2013 till 2022.

I began to participate in Landskappleiken in 1987. My dance partner and I won class B, and I became an A-class dancer in 1988. I have more or less participated in Landskappleiken and Jørn Hilme every year since.

I have been an instructor in Valdressrpingar since 1983. I learned the dance from various couples from Valdres, but my most important mentors were the couple Berit and Knut Steinsrud from Øystre Slidre, Valdres.

Knut Arne and Brit will teach Valdresspringar and other dances from Valdres.
